The Cyprus Tourism Organisation proudly, presents the 2nd Annual Aromatic and Healing Herbs of
Cyprus, Seminar and Exhibition, which will take place at the beautiful mountain resort of Platres
on the 9th and 10th of October 2010.

For the first time, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and 14 Cypriot companies participated in HACE – HOTEL EXPO 2009 that took place from 9th to 12th November 2009, at Cairo international conference center. The Exhibition is held annually under the auspices of the ministry of tourism, on an area of 25000 square meters and more than 450 Egyptian and foreign companies participate in this Event.


In that exhibition, Cyprus presented many products under the food and beverages sector such as  olive oil, Halloumi cheese, ready food, confectioneries, carob and grape products, honey, jams, fruit fillings and juices.


Also, the non food sector had a strong presence in the exhibition specially the production lines equipments (filling machines, capping machines and the labeling machines) and the diary production facilities. Also the software solutions for the business community like the Property Management software was presented in the exhibition.


The Cypriot exhibitors received many interested importers and distributors from Egypt who expressed their interest in Cypriot high quality products that follows the EU standards and regulations.

The Cyprus Trade Centre, the commercial section of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Cairo participated for the first time to the 13th International Convention on Higher Education and Training, ACADEMIA EGYPT 2009 that took place on 11-12 October 2009, at Nile Hilton in Cairo and 13 of October 2009, at Bibliotheca in Alexandria.

The Exhibition which was under the patronage of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and State of Scientific Research and the League of Arab States has been successfully organized by the Global Consultants and supported by the Embassy of France, The French Culture and Cooperation Centre, The US Embassy-Commercial Service and the Cyprus Embassy-Trade Centre.


The main aim of the participation of the Cyprus Trade Centre in Cairo in ACADEMIA EGYPT 2009 was to promote Cyprus Higher Education in Egypt and to inform the prospective students, professors and Egyptian Higher Education Institutions on graduate and postgraduate degrees, scholarship opportunities, exchanging programs as well as scientific research programs. For this purpose information material was distributed to the interested visitors at the Cypriot pavilion.


What is more it is important to be mentioned that the above mentioned event was sponsored by a large number of Egyptian Medias like the Daily News Egypt, Into Egypt, Lady Bird, Seha Magazine, Sports & Fitness Magazine and HE Magazine, The Employer & The Trainer Magazine and What the Woman want.


During the three day event in Cairo and Alexandria a significant number of prospective students, representatives of Egyptian Higher Education Institutions, Education Consultants and Media visited the Cypriot Pavilion and ask to be informed about Cyprus Higher Education as well as programs of studies that the Cypriot Higher Education Institutions can offer.
